Con algunas correcciones de bugs, ya se encuentra disponible para probar la versión 0.9.0 de Simple Scan.

Simple Scan es una nueva aplicación que viene incluida en Ubuntu Lucid Lynx y cuyo objetivo es facilitar la digitalización de documentos para todos aquellos usuarios que emplean un escaner. Si no estás utilizando Lucid tambien puedes instalarla en Karmic Koala a partir de PPA:

Ve a Sistema > Administracion > Origenes de Software > Otro Software y añade la siguiente entrada: ppa:robert-ancell/simple-scan

Despues ya podras instalar el paquete:  simple-scan

El pasado día 8 se anunció el lanzamiento de la versión 1.0 de OpenShot, un editor de vídeo no lineal y open source para GNU/Linux.

CaC is an application to easily download and convert videos from pages like YouTube, Google Video, etc.. It is written in Lazarus / Free Pascal and available for both Linux and Windows.

It's pretty easy to use, just have to copy the link of the video to download, choose the place of discharge and the output format.
